I'd heard of some of the others, but the FreeTube one works pretty nicely. I tried it on my Powerbook with Firefox and has a bit of problems, but then the FAQ recommended Flip4Mac and that actually worked. I'm watching Cartoon Network and taping it with d4m so I now have my own little free PVR system going which is just awesome. Gotta love web 2.0 and free as in beer!

@alex lol Chooseandwatch is sooo lame. That site launches a nasty popup that Nod Norton claims is a Spyware Trojan (ecyberdoor variant x?). Freetube looks older then chooseandwatch, and chooseandwatch looks just lame.

Another good one is alluc dot org. I use it to keep my evenings filled with entertainment, and I can't remember the last time I watched television for real. The internet is just so much easier. (Dugg!)

Thank you for the 13 sites! i have cable tv, but some of the shows i like are on the "premium" channel. another good source of free tv is In2tv, which is a channel on AOL's video site. It lets you download (for free) many different old tv shows, like the original Scooby-Doo cartoon, The Flinstones, The Jetsons, Batman, and Growing Pains.
I am a member of in2streams.com. They do cost money ($15) a month. I am not affiliated with them nor do I get money for linking to them. I think however, of all the services on the web for internet TV they seem to be the best. They have tons of EPs updated daily. Over 250 TV series and their links are never broken. Worth checking out :-)

The best on your list are as follows (no particular order): 1) ABC Live Shows 2) FreeTube 3) Peekvid 4) PPLive 5) HiveProductions
The rest on the list and in the comments are just copies/imitations/parsing of these 5. Listing any more would be pointless unless they add something that these ones don't have, but I highly doubt it since all sites on this list are just rehashing the same things over and over and over and over again that these sites already have.

I know you all know many "tv link" websites to watch tv shows, etc. & such, but I've done alot of searching & am starting to get frustrated over not being able to find any DECENT ones. I like www.freetv.com though it's got a lot of Adsense Ads. Guess they have to make their money somehow.

Hello everyone. I'm from the U.S. & I've just spent the last several hours going through alot of the links posted on here, & guess what folks, 99.9% of them are crap, or nonexistant.
I'm in search of decent free online tv/movie links - not these ones composed of crap that has channels/shows nobody has heard of before. I mean we need to see links going to shows like "Law & Order", "Stargate SG-1", & alot more of these up to date shows & movies. I'm getting really tired of only coming across these foreign old old unheard of shows.
How about some better website links to more of the up to date tv shows, & recent (within the last couple of years) movies, that are in ENGLISH?!?
I'm sorry to be ragging so much, but, everytime I do searches, or come across websites as this, that only has total crap on it, it gets frustrating as heck real fast.
This is a good website, as far as having a place to be able to list everyone's favorite website links, don't get me wrong, but the quality of most of these so far listed are very unsatisfying.

The link to "peekvid" - everytime I go there, I'm not on their site for than a minute or two, then the webpage switches to one of their advertisers, I believe it is, & when I try again to get back to peekvid, it is impossible without that advertising site hitting the screen again. Any ideas on how to stop that? I'm running Firefox, & I've put several of their adverts in the no-no bin, to try & stop them, but it has yet to work. I used to go to peekvid all the time, many many months ago, but since I've been back online peekvid started doing that crap to me, plus all the favorite sites I had are gone, & closed up shop. Anyone know how to view the legit sites like nbc.com and abc.com overseas? I'm an American studying abroad and still want to keep up with my favorite tv shows, but I keep getting invalid messages.

The 'Jason' who poster April 2nd (not his real name) who claimed in2streams was good but he wasn't 'affiliated' or even a member _is_ one of of the administrators of that site...
Don't sign up to them, here's some reasons...
Heres the background check on this site...
- The person who runs in2steams is usually the guy talking like he was the consumer of it not the admin and creating posts all over the internet advertising his own sites out of desperation.
- This is the fourth version of the site, each time trying to cover up they ran the last one and all the problems the earlier ones had... The list so far is myibnet.com --> streamwired.com --> ipdirecttv.com --> in2streams.com dispite their FAQ's say they aren't affiliated with them - which is a plain lie, also the fact its yet again a Joomla site and the same content is a dead give away.
- All the content from one site to the next has moved with it, some of the NSV files they use are up to 3 years old, I know of no show which has been completely resourced for better quality versions.
- Content has simply been stolen from tamal.tv and ess.tv (pioneers in SHOUTcast streaming from the beginning) to name just a couple. Others provided by the every day users of myibnet.com (literally uploaded by the members) especially the British and Anime stuff.
- The on demand thing is basically just a rip off of tamal.tv which did it better as it let you download the NSV files themselves, something these won't do in case you steal their files and do what they have done to others - to them.
- On the forums, the admin username of Clickz used to be Evil013 on previous sites (also the poster here on digg) and his real name is Dustin Holdiman, I'm guessing that Noobert is actually Matt or as he used to be known el_gringo_fantastico. Neither of them are interested in furthering IP-TV just getting your money.
- The servers used to run on Windows, yay lets crash again, time for those security fixes! However at least now the servers seem to be running on Linux, probably with 1and1.
- Previously these guys have promised new desktop software for protected content streams such as windows media video (yuck), also streams to set top boxes and windows mobile. This software never materialised.
- Your right about the price, it just goes up and up... however the DVD quality idea has never actually happened and the idea of paying less for smaller packages of shows you -actually- want to watch has never materialised either.
- streamwired.com closed to avoid legal problems, which this site will suffer with also whether it is hosted in America or Europe.
- Nullsoft banned them from putting streams on the main SHOUTcast library.

Just an update to what a couple of the posters above have said.... At http://www.tvliveshows.com you will need to download a Div X player, if you do not already have one installed. So, in a nutshell, if you have a computer with anything older than Windows XP, you can forget about that website.

Jason - Have you tried using podcast. Usually they have a lot of the basketball and football games live. The problem sometimes is it pauses a little bit. Usually i watch the Steelers games on there on Sundays.

Definitely add http://thisweekontv.net to your list. They have updated episodes of most of the popular tv shows. Its great as I find the videos stream faster as the site isn't as popular as some of the bigger sites.

Once you use the wtachtvforfreeonline.com online TV player you will be able to switch between shows like South Park, Scrubs, Friends, Lost, etc in seconds. No reason to go anywhere else if you are looking for full episodes of TV shows streaming online for free with no BS.: )

After watching TV and satellite TV online for more than 3 years I can guarantee you that most of that list are good but don't cover what most people want and need.
I was scammed 6 times until I found one software for watching satellite tv online that really works and don't believe anything they promise, the best one out there is this one:

a social online streaming site for full tv episodes
I've been searching for online TV extensively also. Many sites don't publish new episodes as soon as the networks will on their own sites. However, www.casttv.com posts new episodes very quickly and allows you to choose from different sources to watch from. In other words, it's a online TV portal.
http://www.tvplatforme.com - free TVonPC software with some cool extras (you can get it by completing a short survey - I found the same one with the different logo for around $40-$50 so...enjoy this one free ;))

I tired several of these sites and was not impressed. The movies are dogs, with a decent 10 year old movie here and there. And many sites display shows for which they actually don't have a single episode. I wish the author had actually checked these out in detail. Any moron can post a "top 20 sites." Don't you feel like your credibility is worth something?

The rest on the list and in the comments are just copies/imitations/parsing of these 5. I'm in search of decent free online tv/movie links - not these ones composed of crap that has channels/shows nobody has heard of before. I mean we need to see links going to shows like "Law & Order", "Stargate SG-1", & alot more of these up to date shows & movies. The link to "peekvid" - everytime I go there, I'm not on their site for than a minute or two, then the webpage switches to one of their advertisers, I believe it is, & when I try again to get back to peekvid, it is impossible without that advertising site hitting the screen again.
Any ideas on how to stop that? I'm running Firefox, & I've put several of their adverts in the no-no bin, to try & stop them, but it has yet to work.
I used to go to peekvid all the time, many many months ago, but since I've been back online peekvid started doing that crap to me, plus all the favorite sites I had are gone, & closed up shop.

Don't sign up to them, here's some reasons...
Heres the background check on this site...
- The person who runs in2steams is usually the guy talking like he was the consumer of it not the admin and creating posts all over the internet advertising his own sites out of desperation.
- This is the fourth version of the site, each time trying to cover up they ran the last one and all the problems the earlier ones had... The list so far is myibnet.com --> streamwired.com --> ipdirecttv.com --> in2streams.com dispite their FAQ's say they aren't affiliated with them - which is a plain lie, also the fact its yet again a Joomla site and the same content is a dead give away.
- All the content from one site to the next has moved with it, some of the NSV files they use are up to 3 years old, I know of no show which has been completely resourced for better quality versions.
- Content has simply been stolen from tamal.tv and ess.tv (pioneers in SHOUTcast streaming from the beginning) to name just a couple. Others provided by the every day users of myibnet.com (literally uploaded by the members) especially the British and Anime stuff.
- The on demand thing is basically just a rip off of tamal.tv which did it better as it let you download the NSV files themselves, something these won't do in case you steal their files and do what they have done to others - to them.
- On the forums, the admin username of Clickz used to be Evil013 on previous sites (also the poster here on digg) and his real name is Dustin Holdiman, I'm guessing that Noobert is actually Matt or as he used to be known el_gringo_fantastico. Neither of them are interested in furthering IP-TV just getting your money.
- The servers used to run on Windows, yay lets crash again, time for those security fixes! However at least now the servers seem to be running on Linux, probably with 1and1.
- Previously these guys have promised new desktop software for protected content streams such as windows media video (yuck), also streams to set top boxes and windows mobile. This software never materialised.
- Your right about the price, it just goes up and up... however the DVD quality idea has never actually happened and the idea of paying less for smaller packages of shows you -actually- want to watch has never materialised either.
- streamwired.com closed to avoid legal problems, which this site will suffer with also whether it is hosted in America or Europe.
- Nullsoft banned them from putting streams on the main SHOUTcast library.
- Did I miss anything?
